Suggested Salaries

The salaries vary depending on the experience of the care giver and the demands of the job. More qualified candidates with long term references and years of experience are paid on the higher end. Other important factors are: The number of children and their ages, the housekeeping responsibilities, the amount of autonomy and decision making, the living situation and the length of commitment.

• Full-time live-in: $400-$1000 (sometimes more)
• Full-time live-out: $450-$1200
• Part-time and/or sporadic babysitting, and hotel nannies are paid $15-25/hr.
• Full-time housekeepers earn between $15-$25 hour

Nanny positions typically include everything child related: Light housekeeping, errands, kids' meals, kids' laundry, and attending/driving the children throughout the day.

The average amount of hours per week per full-time position is 45 for live-out, up to 55 for live-in.

We recommend looking into health insurance for your care giver once they become an integral part of your household, this would be in addition to the salary and can be a bonus.

The Screening Process

Our caregiver applications are detailed and contain questions pertaining to problem solving, child rearing skills, personal motivation, safety skills, education and family background.

Besides wanting our candidates to match your needs perfectly, we also want to make sure that their backgrounds have been checked out by professionals. We work with a private investigator to research each candidate. When possible, they check criminal records, wants and warrants, and driving/credit history.
